Maternity Photo Session in Sedona, AZ

Whether you're a Sedona local or just visiting, the stunning natural scenery of Sedona will enhance the beauty of your maternity photoshoot. As your maternity photographer, my primary aim is to capture the bond between you and your baby. Maternity sessions are special as they allow you to deeply connect with both your baby and your body. You are your baby's first home, and the enchantment of that deserves to be captured!

When booking your maternity session here are a few things I recommend you to consider.

1. Who will be involved in the photoshoot?

   Maternity shoots are about capturing and honoring the amazing wonder of growing a baby. As your photographer my job is to help you feel relaxed enough to be able to tune in to your body and your baby so we can capture some beautiful images. Maternity shoots can focus solely on mom, or you may decide to involve your partner, older children, or pets. This is about capturing your current season of life however it looks, before your new baby joins.

2. Location is key. You can not go wrong with an outdoor shoot in Sedona. Everywhere you look you're surrounded by stunning scenery. Whether you choose an iconic Sedona backdrop like Cathedral Rock, an intimate creek setting, or even at your Sedona home, you'll receive images that not only reflect your current season of life, but also everything Sedona has to offer.

3. Wardrobe is important. Whether it's a stunning flowing gown or a simple linen blanket, your clothing choices set the tone for your images. I always suggest selecting the mom-to-be's outfit(s) first, and then coordinating the rest of the family's attire with hers. Neutrals, solids, simple prints, and textured pieces are all highly recommended. The best photo sessions usually include at least two wardrobe changes. I enjoy seeing one outfit suitable for sharing with everyone for classic posed shots, and another that allows for more intimate photos. In maternity shoots, women often prefer an outfit that showcases their bare bump for more personal images.
